What is Berachain?
Berachain is an EVM-compatible layer 1 blockchain built on the Cosmos SDK to leverage the Tendermint consensus mechanism and BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance).
Additionally, Berachain introduces a completely new definition in blockchain called Proof of Liquidity (PoL) - a consensus mechanism that prevents Sybil attacks.
The idea of Berachain originated from the founder of NFT Bong Bears - an NFT collection that has been heavily promoted by Olympus DAO. Berachain and Bong Bears share the same developer but are two independently developed projects.
