Airdrop knowledge popularization lesson five
Yesterday, this post about giving advice to newcomers who want to participate in airdrops caused a huge response. I will summarize the main viewpoints from the comments and provide some small suggestions based on my own experience for newcomers who want to participate in airdrops: Airdropping is a completely viable path. Many people enter the crypto world and experience a series of setbacks, whether in secondary trading, contracts, or chasing meme coins, they all end up losing money. Recently, several major airdrops have emerged, making the airdrop space popular again. Many friends who have been scared by losses in other fields want to try to recover their losses through airdrops. I believe this is completely feasible; whether in a bear market or a bull market, there have been many successful airdrops, and many people have managed to return to profit or even achieve wealth leaps through airdrops. Including myself, I once incurred debts of hundreds of thousands due to contract trading, but later successfully recovered through airdrops. The airdrop space may be very competitive, but there will always be opportunities. It is not advisable to engage in airdrops full-time. Recently, many fans have privately messaged me saying they want to do airdrops full-time. My response is always not to recommend it. Because while there are indeed many opportunities in airdrops, there is also a lot of uncertainty. Many people work hard for a year and don't even earn back their costs for the basic items or IPs, and there are plenty of failures. Recently, the large airdrop in the $MOVE testnet is largely due to the large-scale failures of previous star projects like ZK, L0, Scroll, etc., causing studios to close and airdrops to cool down. You might need to attempt 100 projects to find one successful airdrop. Ask yourself: Can I tolerate 99 failures without any income? How long can I persist without achieving success in airdrops: 1 day? 1 month? 1 year? The advice in the comments is largely uniform: get a job with a stable income and do airdrops part-time. It's okay to work a bit harder; at least you still have a salary. When you successfully achieve airdrops, or even hit a major success, and have a certain material basis, then consider going full-time or starting a studio for airdrops. Persistence is key in airdrops. Many who achieved significant results in this $MOVE testnet are those who are good at persisting, or some newcomers. Many experienced individuals who have previously succeeded in airdrops like $ARB, $STRK, including myself, did not achieve results in $MOVE. This is because they experienced several failures with major projects, which made them slack off on airdrops, let alone testnets. During the recent meme craze, the collective failures of airdrop KOLs illustrate this point. Therefore, airdrops are not dead; it's just the people achieving significant results have changed. Hence, persistence is crucial in airdrops, regardless of the environment. When the environment is good, work hard; when it is bad, manage costs wisely and keep going. I believe that as long as you persist, one day you will achieve your own significant success in airdrops! One must have their own judgment in airdrops, conduct in-depth research, and participate in projects. Don't scatter your efforts without focus; if you airdrop here and there, you might not do well on any of them, leading to losses everywhere. If you want to airdrop, do it well. For projects you believe in, research them thoroughly and maximize your efforts. Luck does play a role in airdrops, but attitude is also very important. If you research projects thoroughly and do better, your chances of a significant success will greatly increase. Therefore, whatever you do, you must persist. Today is February 19, 2025. That’s all for sharing today. Everyone can make a little progress every day.
