A Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis to Toronto flipped upside down on a snow-covered runway at Toronto Pearson Airport on February 17.
While no fatalities were reported, 18 passengers sustained injuries and were taken to local hospitals. All 80 people on board, including four crew members, were safely evacuated.
Flights to and from the airport were canceled for the day as emergency responders quickly took action. Authorities praised their swift response in handling the situation.
The airport activated an emergency operations center, coordinating efforts between fire, police, paramedics, and airline officials.
