The reporting period is underway, and it has become known which banks have invested in Bitcoin. One of the largest banks in Canada, Bank of Montreal, has invested more than $150 million in Bitcoin ETF. Also, one of the largest banks in the UK, Barclays, has invested more than $131 million in Bitcoin ETF.
The Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund, one of the largest in the world, also disclosed its investment in a Bitcoin ETF, with the total investment amounting to $436 million.
Meanwhile, BlackRock, the world's largest investment firm that launched a spot Bitcoin ETF, announced another purchase of 250 BTC made a few days ago.
Not everyone is happy about banks buying Bitcoin. For example, renowned Greek economist Yanis Varoufakis said: “BTC traders know no shame. Those who vowed to destroy central banks and Wall Street are now begging bankers to buy Bitcoin to get rich.”
