$XRP Bloomberg analyst James Seyffart predicts that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) may approve the ETF applications for XRP and Dogecoin this week. Companies such as Grayscale, Bitwise, Canary, and WisdomTree have already submitted relevant applications. Seyffart estimates that the approval probability for XRP is 70%, for Dogecoin is 65%, and for Litecoin is even higher at 90%.
Additionally, Grayscale's Solana ETF proposal has also received preliminary approval from the SEC, indicating a shift in the agency's stance towards cryptocurrency investment products. This change has occurred following the appointment of new leadership, marking a more supportive position from the SEC towards the development of cryptocurrencies.
Regarding the classification of cryptocurrencies, Seyffart stated that the SEC may address this issue in 2025, helping to establish a clear regulatory framework and providing clearer legal boundaries for digital assets.
