When it comes to position management, I have my own method that I want to share with you. If you have 30,000 USDT in cotton, I would suggest dividing it into three parts, each part being 10,000 USDT. Each time you open a position, use this 10,000 USDT to operate, with the leverage on Bitcoin not exceeding 10 times, and the leverage on altcoins not exceeding 5 times. If you incur a loss, for example, a loss of 1,000 USDT, then add another 1,000 USDT from outside; if you gain 1,000 USDT, then withdraw that 1,000 USDT. This way, you can ensure that every time you open a position, it is a fixed 10,000 USDT position. Once you have used this method to grow your 30,000 USDT to 60,000 USDT, then increase the funds for each position to 20,000 USDT.
The benefits of doing this are threefold:
First, dividing positions and using low leverage can greatly reduce the risk of total liquidation caused by sudden price spikes in exchanges.
Second, even if you are impulsive, you will only lose at most 1/3 of your positions, leaving you with a buffer to avoid losing everything at once.
Third, maintaining a fixed position allows you to keep a calm mindset whether you are losing or winning, which is particularly helpful for stabilizing your trading mentality.
My personal habit is to fully utilize my position at once, such as using 10,000 USDT for one position, focusing on one market and one coin, and directly adding funds to fully open and close positions. Of course, I do this because I am quite precise in my entry points. If you always set stop losses and use low leverage, it is basically impossible to be liquidated.
For friends who are tight on funds or currently facing significant losses, don’t rush to put in too much money. Just add 1,000 or 2,000 USDT, and divide it into three parts to play slowly. Don’t underestimate the small amounts; in this market, you can play with any amount, the key is to have a strategy.
