Elon Musk suggested using blockchain for transactions in government institutions, especially the US Treasury Department, because the agency needs technology that is easily accessible and transparent.
“Career Treasury officials break the law every hour, every day by approving payments that are not authorized or in accordance with funding laws passed by Congress. This must stop now!” Musk said.
Influencer X Mario Nawfal also asked Musk for his opinion on the use of blockchain in the institution. In response, Musk said he agreed with the idea.
Not only that, the CEO of X also believes that blockchain adoption can increase public oversight of the movement of money managed by the government. This can reduce the risk of manipulation or inefficiency.
