Hackers hacked the official account of the Solana DEX aggregator Jupiter($JUP ) on the social network X and began promoting fake meme coins 💰.
The project team quickly responded and warned users: do not click on links and do not buy questionable tokens ⚠️.
One of these was MEOW – its market capitalization skyrocketed to $20 million 🚀, after which the liquidity was withdrawn, leaving investors with nothing. But the scammers did not stop there and began promoting a new scam token DCOIN, leading to new losses among users 😤.
This incident is yet another reminder that one must be extremely cautious in crypto. Even verified accounts can be hacked, and hyped tokens can easily turn out to be traps 🎣. It is better to check ten times than to end up in such a situation.
