📌 Kraken is phasing out USDT and more to comply with MiCA regulations!
The popular cryptocurrency exchange Kraken has announced it will delist Tether’s USDT and four other stablecoins in the European Economic Area (EEA) to align with the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA).
🔹 Stablecoins to be delisted:
✔ USDT (Tether USD)
✔ PYUSD (PayPal USD)
✔ EURT (Tether EURt)
✔ TUSD (TrueUSD)
✔ UST (TerraClassicUSD)
📅 Gradual Delisting Timeline:
🔸 Feb 13 – Margin trading set to "reduce-only" mode
🔸 Feb 27 – Affected tokens enter “sell-only” mode (no new deposits)
🔸 March 24 – Spot trading halted; all open orders closed
🔸 March 31 – Full delisting & conversion of remaining holdings
