#EOSProject
EOS is a cryptocurrency that at one time had a lot of hype because it promised to be a faster and more scalable alternative to Ethereum, with fee-less transactions and a governance model based on Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS). However, over time it lost considerable relevance compared to other chains like Solana, Avalanche, and of course, Ethereum with its improvements in scalability.
One of its main problems was the centralization of its validation model, as only 21 block producers make the decisions, which raised concerns about its actual decentralization. Additionally, the company behind EOS, Block.one, was criticized for not fulfilling many of its promises after raising 4 billion dollars in its ICO.
Today, EOS still exists, but its adoption and development seem stalled compared to other blockchains that have managed to evolve. It is not one of the stronger options in the current crypto ecosystem.
Is EOS an option you would choose to trust your assets?
