If this is true, it would be an earthquake for cryptocurrencies. The biggest obstacle for Bitcoin to become a reserve currency may not be politicians, but Ripple itself. Reportedly, Ripple $XRP aims to create a central bank digital currency (CBDC), a digital dollar on its own network.
I hope this is not true because Ripple would destroy Bitcoin with such a move. Is Bitcoin the only true standard?
