The blockchain platform #Tezos has successfully implemented its 17th protocol update called Quebec.

The new version was developed by the teams at Nomadic Labs, Trilitech, and Functori. One of the key improvements was reducing the block processing time from 10 to 8 seconds, allowing for transaction completion to be accelerated to 16 seconds. This makes Tezos ($XTZ ) more attractive for use in gaming and financial applications.

What is particularly important is that the update does not require hardware upgrades. Validators, or bakers, can continue to operate on the existing infrastructure, maintaining the stability and availability of the network.
