Last week, I completed the solv protocol web3 task. I had no idea what web3 was, bought $1,000 worth of BTC, and carefully followed the instructions on the official website with the help of Binance customer service to complete it. After finishing, I withdrew the fees from the tasks two days ago and sold the BTC for a small profit of $10.
Insights:
1. The Binance customer service team is quite helpful and attentive. Instead of blindly asking people in the plaza how to operate, it’s better to research according to the official website instructions, and if you have questions, ask Binance customer service. I feel that this web3 task is Binance's silent encouragement for investors to understand how to operate web3 wallets.
2. One must have patience to follow their original strategy. I originally set to sell BTC when it reached 12,000, but due to impatience and some panic, I bought at 97,000 and sold at 99,000.
Next strategy
1. I will sell the solv opening as usual. I have saved 46 BNB since the beginning of 2024, chose the 30-day lock option, and completed the web3 task, expecting to earn over $200.

My points: 7,472.5105
2. I exchanged USDT 8600 for FUSD yesterday, waiting for the new round of mining, because I found that when mining is released, FUSD skyrockets. By the time it rises, exchanging it back would just flatten all the interest from holding USDT for investment, making it all a waste of effort.
3. The increase in virtual currency has already started to exceed my original asset allocation. The exchange rate of USD to TWD has recently reached 33, which is quite a good number, considering it was around 31 at the beginning of 2024.
Depending on the situation, I will exchange part of the USD from the exchanges back to TWD and invest in US stocks for asset allocation and then adjust again.
4. Value investing is my belief.
The market always goes through expansion, prosperity, recession, and bottoming. Keeping financial strategies simple is the best: specifically, it means value investing.
- Buy at the bottom, sell at prosperity.
- Buy when the price is below intrinsic value, sell and exchange for trading currency when the price is above intrinsic value, and earn through long-term holding of quality assets.
Long-term and short-term investment should be allocated at 70:30.
- Long-term:
Buy good companies [good companies with development potential] at a reasonable price and hold the shares for the long term.
- Short-term:
If you only understand a little about the market, e.g., if the internal situation is not bad from the interview, invest in the short term, 1-3 months, at most not exceeding half a year, and sell when it rises.
My philosophy comes from
ETF Wealth Map - 7 million smart investors' new choice
Selected excerpts from Xia Yunfen
The ratio of long-term to short-term investment should be about 60-70% for long-term investing and about 30-40% for short-term positions.
In terms of ETFs, if set for long-term holding, there will be fewer changes, but if investing in funds from a single country or emerging markets, there will be periodic operations, with 20%-30% taken for profits.
"It's essential to clarify the difference between speculation and investment." Xia Yunfen states that speculative funds can be placed in the stock market or foreign exchange market. The Taiwanese stock market is currently booming, and perhaps one can use chips and technical patterns for short-term operations; if the New Taiwan Dollar appreciates, foreign capital will flow into Taiwan, and one can buy a bit of USD, while if the New Taiwan Dollar depreciates, one should sell. These all come from a short-term perspective.
So I wish everyone to steadily make big money.
