🚨 Kazakhstan Takes Action Against Crypto Exchangers 🚫
In 2024, Kazakhstan's authorities blocked more than 3,500 online crypto exchangers, closed 36 offline locations, dismantled two pyramid schemes, and seized assets totaling $4.8 million USDT, as reported by the Agency for Financial Monitoring.
The offline exchangers had a combined turnover of 60 billion tenge (approximately $112M). Authorities also recovered $545,000 for victims of the pyramid schemes and froze an additional $120,000.
Kazakhstan’s measures reflect the growing global effort to crack down on unregulated crypto activities.
