The Morpho markets created over the summer (USD0++ and LP USD0/USDC), along with the PT markets added later, were based on a hard-coded price of 1 USDC = 1 USD0++ for simplicity and security reasons, as we always ensured that the DAO could redeem USD0++ in the event of a debt default.
With the recent minimum price update to USD0++, new Morpho markets that are not price liquidable can now be permanently established. To facilitate the migration, USD0++ rewards on the old markets will be disabled in the coming days, encouraging users to transition to the new markets.
These new markets are all based on a minimum price of $0.87, ensuring constant liquidity. Paraswap already has an adapter directly connected to the minimum routing. Additionally, the new markets have a higher LLTV to accommodate the majority of previous positions.
