Solana scales by using the PoS consensus algorithm combined with PoH. This is achieved through a computing chain to verify that: an event has occurred on the network at any point in time and is presented as a cryptographic clock, providing timestamps for all transactions on the network.

Proof of History (PoH) is used to verify the timeline and order of events that occur. The Proof of History algorithm will be used to confirm and validate the blocks generated by the PoH generator.
