CleanSpark Successfully Mines $68 Million in Bitcoin in December
CleanSpark Inc, a Bitcoin (BTC) mining company, successfully mined 668 BTC worth $68 million in December 2024. In its latest report, the company sold 12.65 BTC worth $1.2 million at an average price of $101,246 per coin, with reserves of 9,952 BTC.
Interestingly, CleanSpark has mined 7,024 BTC in 2024, reflecting a tremendous increase in efficiency and computing power. Their hashrate increased to 39.1 exahashes per second (EH/s), and energy consumption decreased to 17.59 joules per terahash.
The company also recorded a hashrate growth of 287.9% compared to the previous year. With the opening of new mining facilities in Mississippi, Tennessee, and Wyoming, CleanSpark is showing its commitment to expanding operations and increasing its market position in the Bitcoin mining industry.
Not only that, CleanSpark CEO Zach Bradford is optimistic for the future, that the mining company will reach its hashrate target of 50 EH/s by mid-2025.
Additional information, when compared to other mining companies such as MARA and Riot Platforms have mined 9,457 BTC and 4,828 BTC in 2024, with a total of 44,893 BTC and 17,722 BTC respectively.
