DappOS: Born to simplify the complexity of Web3
As a pioneering project dedicated to building operational protocols, DappOS aims to pave a smoother path for Web3 applications. Its core philosophy is to simplify the complexity of Web3, enabling dApps to provide a user experience comparable to familiar WEB2 applications.
The team is well aware that user experience is crucial for the widespread adoption of Web3. However, the current situation is that, although dApps have tremendous potential, their user experience still poses some challenges for most mainstream users.
Two main challenges for dappOS in the future:
1. Limitations of wallet-centered user systems: Setting up and managing Web2 accounts is much more complex compared to familiar web3 accounts.
For example, users need to remember a recovery phrase composed of random English words, and once this phrase is lost, the associated accounts and assets become irretrievable. Moreover, due to the fragmentation of the Web3 ecosystem, users' assets and data are often scattered across multiple chains, making management more challenging.
2. The complexity of DApp operations: Most DApps have a certain entry barrier in terms of usability. Take liquidity mining as an example; novice users often need to complete a series of complex operations, which are time-consuming and prone to errors. Furthermore, this complexity is amplified when users attempt to use DApps across different chains.
3. To address these challenges, the DappOS team proposed an innovative solution: building an intermediary layer between users and the crypto infrastructure. This means users only need to interact with DappOS, which will automatically handle all interactions with the underlying technology on behalf of the users, greatly simplifying the operational process.
Project team and financing team:
Ty Shen is the founder of DappOS, former CTO and co-founder of Alchemy Pay. He also founded VR (Tsing Visual, acquired in 2016) and the KanZhuan app.
Ty Shen graduated from Tsinghua University with a major in Mathematics and Software Development. Isabella Yang is a co-founder of DappOS.
She was previously a software engineer at Google, a general partner at HIG, and an angel investor in Web3. Isabella Yang has received the Carnegie Mellon University Artificial Intelligence Research Scholarship. Taylor Harris is the community lead at DappOS.
DappOS V2
DappOS V2 represents a significant leap in functionality and user experience. First, DappOS V2 introduces a unified account experience, allowing users to manage all their on-chain assets within one account, achieving seamless operations similar to CeFi (Centralized Finance).
Regardless of asset distribution, users can achieve universal use and easily interact with any dApp on any chain without complex workflows. In addition, users can view all transaction details in a stylish interface and achieve a seamless, CeFi-like user experience in a decentralized environment.
Conclusion: Optimizing user experience will be a mainstream trend for Web3 applications
Intent-centric protocols are rising in the Web3 world, offering new hope for improving user experience. Although it faces various challenges, such as the lack of relevant programming languages, suitable architectures, and security issues, these problems are expected to be overcome over time with the ongoing efforts of the developer community.
Looking ahead, whether it's account abstraction, chain abstraction, or intent-centric approaches, Web3 is finally focusing on user experience, and the dawn of intelligent interactions is about to illuminate this dark forest.
With continuous technological advancements and improvements in protocols, we have reason to believe that Web3 will bring users a smarter, more customizable, and fairer interaction experience, painting a hopeful picture for the future of the digital economy. Let us eagerly anticipate this vibrant future, where users will truly take the helm and guide the development and adoption of blockchain technology.
