Trump has made numerous promises related to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
Hines argues that cryptocurrencies will be a pillar in the technological advancement of the US.
“Bo Hines will be the executive director of the Presidential Council of Advisors on Digital Assets (the Cryptocurrency Council).” These words, published by the US president-elect on his Truth Social network, confirm that the politician has already decided who will occupy that role.
Trump details there that this Council will be "a new advisory group comprised of luminaries from the cryptocurrency industry and chaired by our 'cryptocurrency czar,' David Sacks."
And who is Bo Hines? He is a graduate of Yale University and Wake Forest University School of Law who, together with Sacks, will work “to foster innovation and growth in the digital asset space,” Trump explains.
Sacks and Hines, according to the president-elect, "will create an environment where this industry can thrive and remain a pillar of technological advancement" in the United States.
After the appointment was made official, Hines thanked Trump for the new role he will occupy:
“Thank you, Mr. President! I would be honored to serve in your next administration. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do for our country. I am thrilled to work alongside the brilliant David Sacks to ensure this industry thrives and remains a cornerstone of our nation’s technological advancement.”
