President-elect Donald Trump opened trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Thursday, hours after being named “Person of the Year” for the second time by Time magazine.

In brief statements to CNBC, Trump promised that his administration would launch an unprecedented economy, focusing on providing economic incentives the world has never seen before.

Trump stressed his plans to reduce corporate taxes to 15% provided that manufacturing is done locally, indicating that this step would be pivotal in strengthening the American economy.

Trump also touched on boosting oil exploration in the United States, which he described as contributing to reducing inflation.

He added that he would work to develop policies to support the encryption industry and advances in the field of artificial intelligence, which he sees as an important step for the country’s economic future.

During the event, Trump was flanked by his vice president, J.D. Vance, first lady Melania Trump, New York Stock Exchange President Lynn Martin, and his daughters Ivanka and Tiffany. Also in attendance were a number of prominent figures in the financial world, including David Solomon of Goldman Sachs and Jane Fraser of Citigroup.
