The co-founders of the Bitcoinimmo platform, Renault Escoe and Nicolas Fourchet, stated that the seller of the parking spaces insisted on payment in bitcoins, as she wanted to protect her savings from inflation.

The parking spaces were sold for 35,000 euros or 0.33 BTC. The transaction took just a few minutes to complete. This is one of the key advantages of settlements in crypto-assets, stated Bitcoinimmo.

The company emphasized that the notarized transaction is no different from a standard agreement for the purchase of real estate and has full legal force. However, representatives of Bitcoinimmo refused to disclose how and in what form the notary fee was paid and whether the purchase was taxed.
