Bull markets produce heroes. Watching others make dozens or hundreds of times their investments can be enviable. Don't envy others; you can learn from their good strategies while also avoiding their pitfalls. Stick to your own system and principles.
Summary of money-making strategies:
1. High concentration on a single asset + broad strategy. This method should yield the highest profits but also comes with the greatest difficulties. Choosing the right cryptocurrency and predicting its future trends requires positioning at the bottom and having a long-term mindset. For typical contract traders, this is quite challenging, and quant strategies may not achieve this either. In the future, I will consider spot trading strategies for broader positioning.
2. Swing trading. The main issue here is maintaining a continuous market. Problems arise with position size and pricing; selling can make it hard to buy back, which prevents maximizing profits. The advantage is that there are many opportunities, and this suits the personalities and mindsets of most people. However, caution is needed in both offense and defense; remember not to chase high prices—this does not mean the price is high; it means that leverage should not be too excessive, and profits should always retain a base position. Defensively, reducing positions while ensuring capital preservation is crucial to prevent significant drawdowns. In summary, offense and defense complement each other and need to be balanced. Some traders are suited for offense, where good market conditions can lead to quick profits, but there will always be times when they miss opportunities. Others may be too defensive, causing them to miss out on profits during favorable market conditions. For example, my current strategy has incorporated two new functions: one for protecting the base position and one for profit protection. Previously, position reductions were all-or-nothing, which led to some strong-performing assets being completely liquidated. Additionally, I have introduced a dual-bottom replenishment strategy to increase trading opportunities.
There's a lot to digest; I've recorded this as a summary for myself. In a bull market, stick to your strategy, take care of your health, sleep early in the morning; money is endless, but health is the most important thing!
