Do you feel anxious watching others make hundreds or thousands of times returns in meme tokens while you don't even understand terms like dyor, fomo, pvp, inner plate, outer plate, and Pixiu? Don't worry, the meme terminology encyclopedia is here 👇
MEME - A type of token that originally had no value but becomes extremely popular online, leading to a price surge. The most famous examples include DOGE, SHIB, and PEPE, while 土狗 (Meme Tokens) usually refer to newly issued tokens that lack community support and are prone to going to zero quickly. Once they have some community backing, they can be called meme tokens, such as the recently popular small-letter eliza community, sci-hub scientific community, 河MOODENG, and zoo kheowzoo.
Small Gold, Big Gold - Refers to meme tokens with great potential, directly indicating a market cap of millions or tens of millions. For example, when people say a big meme token was released yesterday, but they missed out.

Slapping Thigh - Represents regret; encountering a big potential token but not buying in, needing to slap one’s thigh to vent emotions.
DYOR (Do Your Own Research) - A common cryptocurrency slang indicating that before buying a particular token, one should research and think for themselves, instead of rushing in just because someone said to.
Pixiu - Can only be bought and not sold, only the project's address can sell. Sometimes it can only be sold once or only in small amounts, leading to losses upon entry, equivalent to being scammed by the project team.
RUG - Refers to the project team issuing tokens, waiting for users to enter and then running away with all the tokens purchased by the investors. It is similar to Pixiu, both being methods of scamming by the project team.
Inner Plate - Refers to tokens that are being prepared and warmed up internally on the platform and have not yet been launched (usually at 100% progress). For example, the commonly mentioned Pump inner plate refers to raising funds for token liquidity after deploying tokens on the Pump platform. The benefit is that there is no Pixiu and RUG risk (Note: Pump originated from the Sol chain, but now almost every chain has its own pump platform, just under different names)

Outer Plate - Refers to those inner plates that have been successfully filled, launched, and listed on decentralized exchanges (such as Radium, Uniswap, etc.).
Launched - Similar to the above, it represents that the inner plate is full and can be launched on a decentralized exchange.
Soaring - Indicates that the token price has risen absurdly, meaning it has taken off.
Selling Too Early - Refers to someone who bought a token early but sold it after a slight increase, only for the token to take off later.
Double Out - A commonly used trading strategy, where after the buying price doubles, the principal is exited to avoid losses from the token going to zero later.
PVP - Player vs. Player, used to describe competition and market games among traders. When people mention community PVP, it indicates that only community members are buying and selling a token, where those who act quickly profit at the expense of those who don't, with no new participants entering the trade.

FOMO - Fear of Missing Out, indicates the fear of missing out. For instance, when investors see others making profits, they rush to buy to avoid missing potential price increases, leading to irrational price spikes of tokens. When someone says a certain token has fomo-ed, it means the market sentiment is ignited, and everyone is rushing to a particular token.
FUD - Articles or statements released by certain media or individuals that cause panic, uncertainty, and doubt among investors. The most common tactic is to spread false information to induce investors to sell so that they can buy back at the bottom.
HODL - Refers to holding a certain token long-term without selling.
Diamond Hands - Refers to long-term holders who keep holding a particular token.

Whales - Refers to individuals who hold a large number of tokens, typically referring to the top 10 holders in meme tokens.
LFG - Stands for "Let's Fucking Go", used to incite FOMO sentiment, like a slogan, similar to 'to the moon', both expressing a wish for token appreciation.
GM, GN - Good Morning, CZ has tweeted this today, leading to a bunch of meme tokens, while GN corresponds to Good Night.
Trap - Refers to when MEV robots purchase ahead of you before you buy (which can lead to a higher execution price for your transaction). Once your transaction is completed, they sell quickly for profit, commonly known as arbitrage. This means that for the same amount, you might originally be able to buy 100 tokens, but end up with only 90 or even less, increasing your costs. Hence, many meme trading platforms support anti-trap features.

Chain Scanning - Scanning the blockchain to monitor transactions, generally a technique used by some scientists, but now many tools and platforms support it, allowing ordinary users to scan chains too!
Scraper - Refers to monitoring tweets from Twitter accounts to see if they contain contract addresses (CA). Tweets with CA trigger automatic purchases, eliminating the need for manual monitoring, considered a scientific operation.
CA - Contract Address, generally in meme tokens, CA refers to the token's contract address, which is formatted similarly to wallet addresses across chains, used to identify the uniqueness of this token. Token names can repeat, but contract addresses cannot.
