$BTC Bitcoin fell nearly 4% in 24 hours, from $72,500 to just above $69,000, triggering a correction in the crypto market with a 5.5% drop in overall capitalization.
Over $250 million in long positions in Bitcoin and other major cryptocurrencies were liquidated as traders who had heavily bet on continued gains suffered significant losses.
The correction comes as Trump’s lead in prediction market Polymarket narrowed, suddenly falling from over 66% to 63%.
