This security project has just raised 25 million USD from Hack VC and Arthur Hayes!

Today (October 30), a blockchain privacy project named Nillion successfully raised 25 million USD in a funding round led by Hack VC.

This funding round also includes participation from other venture capital funds such as Distributed and HashKey Capital - these are also the two funds that participated in Nillion's 20 million USD funding round back in December 2022.

In addition, the latest funding round also features notable individual investors such as Arthus Hayer (founder of BitMEX) along with leaders from Crypto projects like Worldcoin (WLD), Injective (INJ), and Sei Network (SEI).

As of October 30, 2024, Nillion has raised a total of 65 million USD. In June of this year, Nillion completed its ICO round on Coinlist and raised 20 million USD (selling 50 million NIL tokens at a price of 0.4 USD/token).

Nillion is a decentralized security project that builds its services around the concept of 'Blind Computing' - processing data without revealing the content of the data.

Blind Computing combines advanced security technologies such as ZKP (Zero Knowledge Proof) and FHE (Fully Homomorphic Encryption) to create a diverse data ecosystem without revealing any sensitive information.

Nillion has collaborated with 40 projects, including some notable platforms like Near Protocol, Aptos, Arbitrum, Ritual, …

Nillion stated in its announcement: 'Nillion was founded three years ago to build a future where high-value data can be secured through decentralized technologies and ensure privacy.'

Nillion conducted the Public Sale of NIL tokens in June of this year; however, the project has not yet disclosed the specific launch time of the token.

According to the project's Whitepaper, NIL will have a total supply of 1 billion tokens, of which only 20% is allocated to the Community, 80% is allocated to Early Backers (21.5%), Ecosystem & Partners (21%), Core Contributors (20%), and Treasury (17.5%).

Nillion announced its new funding round on the same day BTC (Bitcoin) reached its highest level in the past 6 months. As of the time of writing, BTC is currently slightly adjusting to around 71,700 USD.
