Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus sold his DOGE holdings for $10,000 in 2015, and if he had kept them today, those Dogecoins would be worth over $9 million, and could even reach $45 million at their peak.

Despite this, Markus has not quit the cryptocurrency space, and continues to be actively involved in the community. In 2024, he made around $780,000 by selling tokens he received as gifts. This is just one of his many token transactions this year, the most recent of which happened a few days ago.

Although Markus sold his initial Dogecoins, he continues to generate income by selling the tokens he received for free, which shows that he is still active in the cryptocurrency industry. Even if he missed the wealth at the peak of Dogecoin's value, he still makes money through other means, and his income in 2024 is enough to buy a new car or even more.
