💡💡💡 CEOs are leaving at record speed

According to Gray & Christmas, from the beginning of the year to September, more than 1,400 CEOs have left their positions, an increase of nearly 50% over the same period in 2022 and a record high since 2002.

The government and nonprofit sector topped the list, with more than 350 people leaving their positions, an 85% increase over the same period last year. The technology sector ranked second, with more than 140 CEOs leaving their positions, an increase of 50%

Some reasons are given:

- Exhaustion: With sales pressure in a gloomy economic context, many CEOs choose to resign

- Economic Change: To cope with rising interest rates and labor costs, companies are looking for more resilient leaders

- Retirement: About 22% of CEOs leave because they reach retirement age

Do they know something that we don't? 🤔
