What is the BitTorrent Chain (BTTC) cryptocurrency and how does it work?

BitTorrent Chain has long been one of the most popular and largest peer-to-peer data sharing networks. However, despite the popularity of the service, BitTorrent Chain has not been able to turn the functionality and speed of its software into cash.

How does BitTorrent Chain work?

BitTorrent Chain is primarily a software that connects users from all over the world using a single system for sharing files, data, and bandwidth. The software is managed by two groups of participants: seeders and peers. Seeders are participants who have already downloaded specific files and can now share them with other users of the network, called peers. A peer, on the other hand, downloads files from more than one seeder, because one file is downloaded in partitions from multiple seeders. This system, also known as a peer-to-peer system, makes download times much shorter.

Network users can also pay for increased bandwidth and faster download speeds using BTTC tokens, which are paid to other peers in the network who offer their excess bandwidth. Requesters are network participants who buy this increased bandwidth, and providers share their bandwidth in exchange for BTTC. In this way, users can receive faster download speeds and enjoy downloading and sharing files without any bottlenecks.
