In the metaverse, you can play games, shop, spend time with friends in a virtual cafe, work with colleagues in a virtual office, and much more. Some video games and work socialization tools have already incorporated some metaverse elements into their ecosystems.

Cryptocurrency projects such as Decentraland and The Sandbox also have currently functional digital worlds. However, the concept of the metaverse is quite new, so most functions of the metaverse are still under development. Companies such as Facebook (now Meta), Microsoft and Nvidia have also begun to create their own versions of the metaverse.

Technology companies are using cutting-edge technologies for the development of 3D worlds to deliver an immersive metaverse virtual experience. These technologies include blockchain, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), 3D reconstruction, artificial intelligence (AI), and the internet of things (IoT).
