With the advancement of human civilization, more and more data are generated. These data are either lost in the long river of time, or frozen in our known history. The advent of the Internet has made the latter - recording data - much easier. Sharing can be achieved efficiently and on a large scale. In the process, the value of data has been explored and its importance has become necessary for society as a whole. In the cover story of The Economist’s May 2017 issue, data was defined as “the world’s most valuable resource.”
However, as more and more data is deposited on the Internet, a fundamental problem begins to emerge: the data generated by individuals creates value, but these data do not belong to the individuals. Therefore, the value created is not assigned to individuals. People have longed for a new order with greater autonomy. Web3 data realm is the answer.
