🔹 2nd Rally: Sep 2023 - Mar 2024

🔹 2nd Consolidation: Mar 2024 - Now

The first two were shorter. The second two took longer and are now the same duration.

So most of the gains in this cycle were in relatively short few month periods.

Both 2023 and 2024 saw 6+ months of chop/bleed/consolidation.

This is why timing the market is hard. If you sell with the idea to buy back lower, you might end up being sidelined for one of those violent moves up.

If you try to allocate or leverage up for the big move too early, there is a good chance you get chopped up.
