Pavel Durov is due to appear before a judge on Saturday evening and will be charged with multiple crimes, media reports said.

The Russian-born businessman has been placed on a federal wanted list, according to French media.

He was reportedly the subject of a search warrant issued by France’s National Directorate of Judicial Police on the basis of a “preliminary investigation.”

The report alleges that the arrest warrant was issued because Durov failed to cooperate with French law enforcement officials, making him an alleged accomplice in drug trafficking and other serious crimes.
