Artwork for Logic's new album Ultra 85, created by Sam Spratt

Rapper and producer Logic has just released his much-anticipated new album, Ultra 85, which features 20 songs and a host of musical guests. Web3 fans will recognize the album’s cover, which is a soft, futuristic work by digital artist Sam Spratt, best known for his Luci series, which has sold millions of dollars and attracted the attention of high-profile collectors.

Recently, popular digital artist batz purchased one of Spratt’s pieces, demonstrating the continued influence of Spratt’s work.

Spratt and Logic are longtime collaborators, having worked together on Ultra 85 albums over the course of seven years, and Spratt recently suggested in a blog post that Logic might soon move away from rapping and toward composing the soundtrack for Luci “with big instrumentals.”

Jack Butcher and Jalil Wahdatehagh Release “Consensus Met”

Jack Butcher and Jalil Wahdatehagh – partners at Visualize Value and creators of the innovative Checks and Opepen digital art series – have launched Consensus Met, introducing fans to a compelling new mechanic.

To mint Consensus Met, collectors must “burn” or permanently remove Opepen NFTs from circulation, with burned Opepens losing voting rights in ongoing Opepen art projects.

In exchange, they will be replaced by new artwork and a separate Ethereum contract, with a maximum supply of 16,000 Consensus Met NFTs.

As Bankless explains in the latest issue of its Metaversal newsletter, the project introduces a new type of intentional and irreversible scarcity, a decision that forces collectors to choose the type of engagement that matters most to them: the opportunity to collect a new work of art, or to continue to influence an established project.

OpenSea to integrate GUNZ blockchain for Gunzilla in-game items

Innovative AAA game studio Gunzilla Games is preparing to launch “Off The Grid” (OTG), a new blockchain-based battle royale game for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles later this year.

Developed by industry veterans, OTG brings players a whole new take on the battle royale genre, including expansive border maps, story-driven gameplay, and a more interactive world that changes the way players buy and sell in-game items.

As the first web3 game on the PlayStation 5 console, OTG will run on Gunzilla’s GUNZ blockchain built by Avalanche, a feature first announced in April 2024 that will allow players to collect in-game items and seamlessly list them on OpenSea as NFTs.
