The next 4 years could be heaven or hell for crypto depending on which president wins.

As a voter, who should you vote for?

------------------------------------

  1. With Trump

Trump's support for crypto is undeniable. Trump even attended the biggest bitcoin conference of the year in Nashville.

What about Harris?

  1. With Harris

In fact, Harris has not directly expressed his views on cryptocurrencies. Based on his publicly disclosed financial situation, his family does not own any crypto assets.

It is for this reason that there are many rumors surrounding Harris' stance on cryptocurrencies.

Some believe that Harris may have a negative view on crypto due to the previous harsh stance of Joe Biden and members of the Democratic Party.

David Bailey, CEO of Bitcoin Magazine, even suggested that a major Democratic Party donor was behind the revelation.

According to Bailey, Kamala has privately said that “Bitcoin is the currency of crime.” Trump also claimed Harris was anti-crypto during a speech at a bitcoin conference.

It is for this reason that Harris has been heavily criticized by the crypto industry. In the end, she has not attended any Bitcoin conferences.

Minnesota Gov. Walz, 60, is a former National Guard member and a traditional military politician. He has repeatedly criticized Trump and his running mate J.D. Vance, calling Vance a “weirdo” who appeals to older, conservative whites.

Walz has not expressed his views on crypto, but given his emphasis on 100% clean energy policy, it is likely that Bitcoin mining will not be to his liking.

In response to Trump’s assertion, many Democrats pushed back, saying Harris was actively exploring the crypto industry without fully implementing strict advice. Wiley Nickel shared that 28 members of the party have proposed adding support for digital assets to the party platform.

These Democrats also called for selecting an SEC chairman who is pro-innovation and supportive of the SEC’s approach to the crypto industry, in an effort to boost the party’s engagement in the space.

Democrats are not sitting idly by when it comes to courting votes from the crypto community. Last week, Harris’ team hired former Binance advisor David Plouffe and former Ripple board member Gene Sperling, in a clear sign of their openness.

  1. So what is the final action?

If it were me, I would choose Trump. But consistency between words and actions is not easy, especially in the face of politicians full of lies.

Silicon Valley has always supported Democrats, but Biden's antitrust stance has hurt the base, causing some representatives like Ben Horowitz and Marc Andreessen to switch to supporting Trump.

On September 10, Harris and Trump will face off in their first debate. Both will likely bring up crypto to appeal to voters in this space, but remember: Don't pin your hopes on anyone, just look out for your own interests.
