The Venezuelan military seized the Tocorón prison run by the Tren de Aragua gang on September 20. Inside the prison, a nightclub, a swimming pool, a small zoo, a playground and a Bitcoin mining facility were found.
The prison’s Bitcoin mining facility consisted of dozens of machines, and it is not yet clear whether these machines were mining Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency.
