The Cruelty of Life

Being born as a human is a cruel thing.
There are only two kinds of people who can be born as human beings: one is to come with a wish; the other is to come driven by karma. There is no need to discuss the first kind, which is not the realm of ordinary people; the vast majority of people belong to the second kind.
The vast majority of people are driven by karma to become human beings. Obviously, the manifestation of this karma cannot reach the realm of heaven or even Asura, so they are reduced to human beings. Those who claim that humans are the spirits of all things are nothing but the ignorant groans of mankind.
Human beings are just a half-finished project, not like the pure suffering of hell and ghosts, nor like the pure happiness of heaven. There are sufferings and happiness, and life is like this. But in the final analysis, there is no happiness in the three realms. Even the heavens will eventually reincarnate and fall, let alone humans.
Because people are not pure and kind, the essence of people, from the karma of reincarnation, contains the depravity and viciousness. Therefore, in the human world, viciousness, depravity, and cruelty are eternal themes.
Most people will eventually reincarnate in the ghost world, hell, and animals. There are many monks and Taoists in front of the gate of hell. Don't think that you have brought some condoms just because you believe in Buddha. Many so-called beliefs are just stealing hearts.
