Bitcoin prices have witnessed sharp fluctuations in the last 24 hours.

Prices declined from the stability recorded yesterday, falling by more than $3,500 and reaching $63,300, after which they rebounded to current levels of $64,300.

Altcoins were similarly affected, resulting in a rise in the value of liquidated positions, reaching approximately $230 million during the day.

The currency was able to recover part of its losses yesterday and remained relatively stable at around $66,800.

Then, sellers regained control again in the final hours, pushing the price to a two-week low of $63,300 (according to Bitstamp data).

Despite the recent rebound that raised the price to more than $64,000, Bitcoin is still more than $6,000 below its highest level recorded last Monday, with Bitcoin recording a 2.5% decline over the past 24 hours.

As usual, alternative digital currencies were affected, and many of them declined in varying proportions, and some of them declined by double-digit percentages.

Interestingly, Ethereum positions worth $62 million were liquidated

In total, the value of the positions liquidated in the past hours amounts to $227 million
