Uniswap Labs has urged the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to cease its efforts to regulate the DeFi sector.

🖥 The company referenced the overturning of the Chevron doctrine, which restricted the SEC's and other federal agencies' powers and allowed courts not to defer to such agencies in interpreting ambiguous laws.

❗️Since April 2023, the Commission has been proposing to broaden the definition of "exchange," seeking to expand its authority over decentralized protocols.
