🇺🇸 Donald Trump said that 🇺🇦 Zelensky, not 🇷🇺 Putin, is hindering the conclusion of a peace agreement on Ukraine. 👀
In an interview with Reuters, the US president said that Vladimir Putin is ready to end "his nearly four-year invasion of Ukraine." At the same time, according to Trump, Zelensky is less determined.
"I think he's ready to make a deal," Trump said of the Russian president. "I think Ukraine is less ready to make a deal."
When asked why the negotiations have not yet led to a settlement, Trump replied, "Zelensky."
Trump also said he knew nothing about a possible trip by Whitcoff and Kushner to Moscow, which Bloomberg reported yesterday.
When asked if he would meet with Zelensky at the economic forum in Davos next week, Trump replied in the affirmative.
"I would meet with him if he's there," Trump said. "I'll be there."
When asked why he believes Zelensky is stalling the negotiations, the US president said, "I just think it's hard for him to get there, you know."
