When I was delivering food for Uber I was getting paid to learn about Bitcoin

Since I was driving 8 to 10 hours each day, I would listen to 5-7 hours of Bitcoin podcasts and audiobooks while earning money

30-50 hours of new knowledge being absorbed EACH WEEK

I delivered food with Uber for almost two years

That's OVER 3,000 HOURS of education

I got so obsessed with Bitcoin at one point that I was even listening to podcasts at home, so definitely more than 3,000 hours in total

Compared to a career in finance, I was earning less in terms of currency, but I was gaining a lot more in terms of knowledge

Listening to podcasts at work would have been impossible if I continued working my job

I would have had no time for creating content as I moved up the corporate ladder

A lot of the work in finance careers requires serious attention to detail - a simple mistake can cost millions of dollars

This is the trade-off when you work for a salary

For 9-12 hours each day, my employer owned my time, attention, and energy

I would have been able to spend a lot less time learning about Bitcoin and I would have taken much longer to figure it out

Meaning I would have probably waited to buy

And it would have cost me a lot more to buy the same amount of Bitcoin that I have

Sometimes, taking a pay cut is worth it!
