Strategy announces the plan to issue 2.5 million preferred shares STRD.
- STRD pays a dividend of 10% per year but is not mandatory and not cumulative. If this period is not paid, it will not be carried over to the next period. The raised capital will be used to purchase more Bitcoin. Shareholders also have the right to request Strategy to buy back shares if there is a fundamental change.
Michael Saylor is experimenting with various fundraising methods, in addition to traditional methods such as issuing stocks and bonds. Currently, there are the following types of securities:
– MSTR is Strategy's main stock. This stock is highly volatile as almost the entire value of the company depends directly on the price of Bitcoin. MSTR is suitable for investors who are very bullish on Bitcoin and are willing to accept high risk to seek high returns.
– STRK has an annual dividend of 8% and can be converted into MSTR shares, combining fixed income and growth potential. STRK is suitable for investors who want to receive dividends but still have the potential for capital appreciation.
– STRF provides a dividend of 10%+ (up to 18% if not paid on time), cannot be converted into MSTR shares. STRF focuses solely on high passive income but comes with greater risk due to the lack of capital appreciation potential.
