According to Odaily, Kazakhstan's President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced the launch of a pilot project named 'CryptoCity' at the 2025 Astana International Forum. This initiative will allow the use of cryptocurrencies for payments of goods and services within a designated area. The project aims to create a regulated digital asset sandbox environment to promote the practical application of cryptocurrencies. CryptoCity is expected to be established near the southeastern border of Kazakhstan in a settlement called Alatau.
