U.S. Senator Lummis Expects Crypto Market Structure Bills to Pass by Year-End

According to PANews, U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated at the Bitcoin Policy Summit that Congress is expected to pass the (CLARITY Act) and (GENIUS Act) by the end of this year. She would be very disappointed if they are not passed before 2026. Lummis acknowledged the challenges of pushing for bipartisan consensus, as some Democrats are calling for an investigation into the Trump family's crypto business conflicts of interest first. Lummis hopes to have the bills ready before 2026, but this timeline is later than Bo Hines's prediction. Trump has expressed a willingness to sign a bill without additional provisions. Due to the narrow Republican majority in the House, the two bills may need some Democratic support to pass.
