According to Deep Tide TechFlow, the Interpol-led "Operation Safe" successfully dismantled a network of information-stealing malware, with law enforcement agencies from 26 countries collaborating to arrest 32 suspects.
Among them, 18 from Vietnam, 12 from Sri Lanka, and 2 from Nauru. The operation shut down over 20,000 malicious IPs and domains, seized over 100GB of data from 41 servers, and effectively neutralized 79% of identified suspicious IP addresses.
Such malware is primarily used to steal browser credentials, passwords, credit card information, and cryptocurrency wallet data. Law enforcement agencies have notified over 216,000 victims and potential victims to take safety measures.
