GoPlus Security Warning: EIP-7702 Smart Accounts Targeted by Phishing Attacks, Losses Exceed $10,000

According to Odaily Planet Daily, GoPlus Security issued a security alert regarding phishing attacks targeting EIP-7702 smart accounts on the Ethereum mainnet, BNB Chain, and Base chain. Only three days after its launch, thousands of addresses have already fallen victim, with losses exceeding $10,000 in crypto assets. The attacker uses an address for authorization phishing; once a user authorizes, that address can automatically withdraw any BNB or other tokens the user subsequently deposits. The GoPlus security team reminds users: do not transfer or authorize funds to unknown addresses, and remain vigilant to prevent large-scale phishing attacks using historically leaked private key addresses.
