According to Cointelegraph, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has postponed its decision on Bitwise's Ether ETF and Grayscale's XRP ETF applications. The SEC stated on May 20 that it needed an additional 45 days to consider related issues. The SEC also delayed its decision on Grayscale's XRP and Bitwise's Solana ETF, seeking public opinion and conducting further analysis. Analyst James Seyffart expects the SEC to delay decisions on other crypto ETFs, including Litecoin. The SEC is expected to make decisions on other applications in June and July. The SEC received a large number of crypto ETF applications after Trump's election, and after former chairman Gary Gensler resigned, the SEC is seen as more friendly toward cryptocurrencies.
