According to BlockBeats, a report from the blockchain compliance company AMLBot shows significant delays in Tether's wallet blacklist mechanism, resulting in over $78 million in illegal funds being successfully transferred before the freeze took effect.
The report indicates that Tether's multi-signature contract setup on the Ethereum and Tron blockchains results in an average delay of 44 minutes from submission to blacklist activation. During the blacklist delay period, approximately 28.5 million USDT were transferred on the Ethereum chain, with an average transfer exceeding $365,000 each time.
On the Tron chain, there are $49.6 million circumventing the freeze, with approximately 4.88% of the flagged wallets exploiting this loophole to make 2-3 transfers, averaging $292,000 per wallet.
