Stripe expects to expand its stablecoin card programs to more than 100 countries by year-end, according to Henri Stern, who oversees stablecoins and crypto across Stripe. PaymentScan said stablecoin card spending reached about $1.2 billion last month, triple the amount a year earlier. Stripe is pursuing stablecoins as another payment option alongside traditional currencies. Stern said Stripe's approach is to integrate stablecoins into its existing infrastructure.
