According to PANews, the Texas Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Bill is set for its second reading on May 20, a critical step before the final vote. If the bill, known as SB 21, does not pass before the legislative session adjourns on June 2, it will expire and need to be reintroduced in the next session. Should it pass the full House by June 2, it will be sent to Governor Greg Abbott for approval.
Previously, the Texas House Committee approved the Bitcoin Reserve Bill, moving it forward for a full House vote. This development is part of ongoing efforts across various U.S. states to establish strategic Bitcoin reserves.
