Security and staking
WAL is integral to the protocol’s security model through delegated proof-of-stake (dPoS). Token holders can stake WAL to secure the network without running nodes themselves, delegating to trusted operators. Nodes compete for these stakes, which determine data assignment. Good behavior earns rewards in WAL, while future implementations will include slashing for proof performance, where penalties are partially burned to create deflationary pressure. @Walrus 🦭/acc $WAL $SUI #walrus
